Teaching Assistant

Location: Brunel Primary and Nursery Academy

Brunel Primary Academy are pleased to be able to offer the opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team.

We are looking to appoint a forward thinking, positive and innovative individual who will be working with one of our pupils on a 1:1 basis. The right candidate will be flexible, friendly and committed to driving children's learning forward across Key Stage 2. The ideal candidate will have experience and understanding of supporting children with ASD.

This position is for 12.5 hours per week, on a fixed term basis until July 2022 in the first instance.

The working pattern will be 12.30pm - 3.00pm, Monday - Friday.
Pay Rate: £9.13 per hour

HR Administrator

Location: Bridge MAT Main Office

Closing Date: 07/02/2022

Working in our Central Office at Callywith Gate in Bodmin we are looking for a friendly HR Administrator who is comfortable working with other members of their team, as well as with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

We envisage the role will be 5 hours per day across 5 days, with a flexible start time between 9.00am – 9.30am. Key responsibilities to include:
• Input data into the HR system (e.g. contracts, annual leave, sickness, training)
• Processing new employment contracts electronically
• Issuing letters of appointment
• Processing and monitoring DBS applications
• Issuing recruitment packs to academies as requested
• Processing the monthly payroll claims
• Processing absence insurance claims
• Maintenance of HR records, paper and electronic
• Assistance with the development and upkeep of the HR system
• Other ad hoc human resources tasks

Aptitude, accuracy and attention to detail are more important than qualifications, though good IT skills are a ‘must’.

This role is for 25 hours a week during the school term time (38 weeks), plus one week of INSET days and 7 days a year during school holiday. A total of 40.4 working weeks and 45.852 paid weeks a year.

Hourly Rate: £9.23*
*Salary correct at time of posting, pay rate review currently pending.

Kitchen Assistant

Location: Brunel Primary and Nursery Academy

Closing Date: 13/02/2022

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant with high standards who can meet the demands of a busy school kitchen.

This position is for 7.5 hours per week on a fixed term contract in the first instance.

You will support the school's catering team to deliver healthy school lunches in a clean and positive environment.

Key responsibilities:
- Ensuring food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
- Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately
- To assist with the smooth running of the school kitchen and assist at catering functions
- To assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages as directed by the
Cook-in-Charge
- To undertake other duties appropriate to the grading of the post as required

Teaching Assistant x 2 posts

Location: Looe Primary Academy

Bridge Schools are looking for two Teaching Assistants who are forward thinking, positive, and innovative. The successful candidates will be based at Looe Primary Academy and the work will be flexible based in any area of the school, including the nursery if necessary. It may also include working with children with SEND. The candidates will be able to take a solution focussed approach to their work, flexible, friendly, an effective team member and committed to supporting and improving the learning outcomes for all children in the class as well as for individuals with need.

The positions offered are temporary in the first instance, with a variable hours contract at 30.25 hours per week, term time only. Candidates must have previous teaching assistant experience and will ideally be qualified to a minimum NVQ Level 2 standard. Additional experience in areas such as behaviour management, Trauma Informed Schools approaches, other counselling techniques will be welcome.

Looe Primary Academy is a 1.5 form entry large primary academy and operates as part of the Bridge Schools Trust. The age range is currently 2 – 11 years. We have an Early Years Foundation Stage that is located on the school site with wonderful views of the sea. The school is situated in the East side of Looe Town and is the only primary school serving this thriving seaside tourist resort and fishing town.

Teaching Assistant
