The role will predominantly be focused on running interventions for individual children as well as general teaching assistant roles for 10 hours per week on a fixed term basis in the first instance.

We are pleased to offer the opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join our team at Looe Primary Academy from September 2022.
We are looking for a forward thinking, solution focused, adaptable and proactive practitioner who is also an effective team member and committed to supporting and improving the learning outcomes for all children in the class as well as for individuals with need.
The position is offered for two days in the first instance, with the possibility of more hours within the academic year, dependent on need. One of the days offered is Friday, each week and the second day can be either Thursday or Monday to suit the successful applicant. The role also includes paid lunchtime supervision. Some experience of the Early Years curriculum is desired but not essential.
Looe Primary is a friendly and well-respected school, with a strong desire to continue on its already successful school improvement journey. The school is set in beautiful surroundings within which we cherish and learn on a daily basis and with stunning views to the sea. The position is fixed term in the first instance until 25th July 2023. Working hours in the first instance will be 12 hours per week (2 days).

We are pleased to offer the opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join our team at Trenode Primary Academy from September 2022; the work will be based in a class that comprises Foundation, Yr 1 and Yr 2 pupils. The candidate will be able to take a solution focused approach to their work, be flexible, friendly, and an effective team member and committed to supporting and improving the learning outcomes for all children in the class as well as for individuals with need.
The position offered is temporary in the first instance until 25th July 2023, with a variable hours contract at 28.5 hours per week (5 days) plus potentially an additional 2.25 hours per week (3 days) to support lunchtime supervision, term time only.
Candidates must have previous teaching assistant experience and will ideally be qualified to a minimum NVQ Level 2 standard. Additional experience in areas such as behavior management, Trauma Informed Schools approaches, other counselling techniques will be welcome.
Trenode Primary Academy is a small rural primary academy and operates as part of the Bridge Schools Trust. The age range is currently 4 – 11 years. The school is situated in a beautiful setting with extensive grounds and views to The Moors. It is located in Widegates, a small hamlet to the north of Looe Town and is a primary school serving the thriving seaside tourist resort and fishing town of Looe and the surrounding area.
